Amazon's personal assistant, Alexa, will receive optimizations to increase the interaction between the user and the product. Soon, Alexa will be able to remember the information you recommended to her, besides having more natural conversations that will not require you to call her "Alexa". She will also give much more complete answers according to what the user asks.
Parents can control device service for their children
These features aim to make the virtual assistant more personalized, intelligent and engaging, according to Amazon.
Alexa Brain Group Chief Ruhi Sarikaya explained that the initiative called Alexa Brain is focused on improving Alexa's ability to understand the context of conversations and remember dialogues, as well as facilitating interaction with other assistant functions.
The memory upgrade will soon reach US users. This function will allow Alexa to remember an important day saying something like, "Alexa, remember that Sean's June 20th birthday". According to Sarikaya, this feature takes advantage of applied deep learning models for understanding spoken language. The Alexa update will also be coming soon to the UK and Germany.
