ALERT solution implemented in four North American hospitals

Sapo opens laboratory at the University of Aveiro

After being present in hospitals and health centers in Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and other countries, it is now the turn of the United States to receive ALERT products – developed by the Alert group, belonging to Doctors on the Internet – in four health institutions.

The solutions will be implemented at South Cameron Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Knox County Hospital in Kentucky, Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital in Georgia and another in New Orleans that is still under reconstruction.

In this sense, the platforms to be integrated are based on the ALERT PFH solution, consisting of the ALERT EDIS platforms, for Hospital Emergency Services, ALERT OUTPATIENT, for the management of the External Consultation, ALERT SURGERY ROOM, intended for the Operating Room and ALERT INPATIENT, system of information for Inpatient Services. These applications make it possible to end the use of paper in hospitals, with regard to the different processes mentioned above.

The four institutions that will see applications developed in Portugal included in their systems are part of the range of hospitals maintained by the private company Pacer Health Corporation – responsible for several health centers and psychiatric units -, which recently signed a contract with ALERT Life Sciences Computing , an ALERT Group company in the United States.

Currently, more than 50 percent of national emergency services already use this system. The same happens in 76 hospitals and 102 health centers in the rest of the countries where the ALERT Group operates.
