AirPower may (finally) hit the market in September, for $ 150

The situation of the wireless charger AirPower is something, as far as I can remember, unheard of (and embarrassing) for Apple. The accessory was presented almost a year ago and, since then, its mentions by the Apple have been rare and crossed – launch date or price, so they are elements that at the moment are still speculation or a distant dream.

However – hallelujah choirs sound – this may be about to change: according to the Chinese website Chongdiantou [Google Tradutor], which mentions “people inside the industry”, AirPower will finally be able to reach the market in next month (possibly after having their release details released during the September keynote), corroborating previous rumors published by Bloomberg.

The price? Around 1,000 yuan, or, making the conversion, about $ 145 – rounding up, $ 150, which seems to be a little less than old rumors said and consistent with most guesses as to how much this new Apple accessory will cost.

Of course, we will have to wait to see if the source is reliable – it is good to note that the Chinese website that brought the scoop is the same one that published, a few weeks ago, photos of the new 18W USB-C chargers that should accompany the new iPhones.

In relation to AirPower, at this point it remains to paraphrase Clube da Esquina: “Are you coming? Or is it too late? ”
