“AirPods Studio” can bring head and neck detection, as well as personalized equalization

Conceito dos "AirPods Studio"

The rumors about circum-aural headphones (over-ear) from Apple seem to have intensified in recent weeks: in the most recent speculations, we found that accessories should be christened “AirPods Studio” and they can reach the end of the year. Well now, the 9to5Mac arrived with more possible features of the headphones.

According to the website, “AirPods Studio” will bring a feature already present in AirPods [Pro], but adapted to the advantageous format: instead of detecting whether the headphones are in the user’s ear or not, future headphones will be able to perceive if they are positioned on the head or neck person’s.

This will, for example, allow them to pause and resume playing a song by taking or putting the headphones back on their ears, but it also offers extra options: when detecting that the headphones are on the user’s neck, the system can enter a sleep mode without turning off (just like when you take the AirPods out of your ear); when removing the “AirPods Studio” completely, they can be turned off to preserve the battery.

Future phones should also distinguish left and right ears of the user, directing the sound in the correct way for each of the auditory channels – which suggests that the product will bring an “ambidextrous” design, in which you could place the headphones from any side with no difference in reproduction.

Another likely feature of future accessories will be support for custom equalization settings: by connecting them to an iPhone, iPad or Mac, you can make fine adjustments to the sound reproduction of the headphones and save these preferences for all your devices – a really interesting gimmick for advanced users or professionals, which will be a segment of the audience endorsed by Apple with its creation.

The other rumors about “AirPods Studio” had already been commented on previously: from what we suspect, they will bring Active Noise Canceling and Ambient Mode (easily changeable via software or on the headphones themselves) and will have replaceable magnetic components, to switch between a “ Comfort Mode ”(with leather cushions) and a“ Comfort Mode ” Fitness”(With a material more resistant to sweat). It is estimated that the accessories will be sold for something around $ 350 in the United States.

Interesting, isn’t it?
