In recent Apple advertising, audio devices have generally yielded the most interesting commercials – just remember the award-winning “Welcome Home”, directed by Spike Jonze and starring FKA Twigs.
Now, to maintain the tradition, another Apple ad was awarded: the AirPods commercial “Bounce” (“Saltar”) received two Golden Cubes, maximum awards of ADC Annual Awards. The award, maintained by the One Club for Creativity group, has existed since 1921 and is the oldest in the advertising world.
The Gold Cubes received by the commercial were in the categories of Short Video and Special effects; advertising also received the award for Best Discipline in the production of motion, movies and games. In addition, Apple won the Customer of the Year award, while Apple TBWA Media Arts Lab, Apple’s advertising agency, took home the distinction of Agency of the Year.
The CEO of One Club for Creativity, Kevin Swanepoel, praised the Apple commercial:
“Bounce” it is an impressive example of innovative and creative work. It is the epitome of excellence in construction and cinematographic innovation, which is the basis on which our awards are judged, and a commercial that deserves the honor of “Best of the Award”, as the best creative work of the last year.
The Apple won yet another Golden Cube: that of Motion Graphics by video “Wonderful Tools”, shown in last September’s keynote.
Congratulations to those involved, therefore! ??
