Luis Nazaré, president of Airplus TV Portugal, announced that the company ceased activity after the license for Digital Terrestrial Television was handed over to Portugal Telecom.
As such, according to the official, the operator’s activity ends due to a «lack of objectives» and because the continuity of the project in Portugal does not make sense, quotes Lusa.
It is recalled that, on the 2nd of April, Airplus TV Portugal announced the withdrawal of the appeal against Anacom’s decision regarding the allocation of the DTT license to PT.
On the same day, the operator stated that it maintained the belief that it made the best offer and that its proposal was better in the quality and diversity of channels and interoperability between platforms.
