It is undeniable that technology has made huge leaps in the last decades and much of this can be credited to the great competitions that take place in different sectors. We only need to look at the smartphone market to see how “war” plays a fundamental role in the evolution of mobile technology, which pressure creators to launch unthinkable innovations in order to attract more users to themselves.
We have also witnessed the “wearable war” for some years (wearables), often focused on health /fitness. The Apple Watch was not the first smart watch to appear on the market, but the name of the Apple certainly puts a greater weight on the product. Even so, many potential buyers have moved away from that option – perhaps because they miss many of the features found in other wearables.
Apparently, to chase this, rumors of the “Apple Watch 2” suggest that it will be announced possibly alongside the “iPhone 7” at Apple’s next special event (on September 7) and will bring features like GPS, barometer and more resistance the water.
To take the lead and prevent your user base from shrinking, the Fitbit updated two of its products: the Flex 2 it’s the Charge 2.
Among the many new features of the new bracelet, two of the main features added to Flex 2 may have been born out of competition with smartwatches. They are: waterproof operation and great appeal to fashion (do you recognize that?).
Being able to withstand up to 50 meters in depth, the new bracelet monitors swimming activities automatically and shows you all the data in your iOS, Android or Windows Phone application.
With the bracelet even thinner and more discreet, it is still possible to remove the tracker and put it on more stylish bracelets or even laces.
Charge 2 came to compete even more with the Apple Watch. Unlike Flex 2, this gadget it has a screen with which the user can consult the heart rate, physical activity records and even receive alerts for calls, SMS and calendar events.
In addition, it takes your GPS location in connection with your smartphone (something that the current Apple Watch already does). The fashion factor is also present in this version, which offers more options for elegant bracelets for purchase.
The two products are already in pre-sale, going for US $ 100 and US $ 150 respectively. They are expected to hit stores in September or October.
