A few weeks ago, the Chinese group PanGu took the media with its jailbreak for iOS 8.0-8.1 whose exploits were closed by Apple in iOS 8.1.1.
Now, out of nowhere, another group of Chinese launched a jailbreak compatible with iOS 8.1.1 (and even with iOS 8.2 beta).
Those responsible for the time are the group TaiG, a name known to us and not in a very good way.
At the end of 2013, at the time when the evasi0n7 tool appeared, there was a huge controversy over the presence of the TaiG app store, which contained several pirated apps.
That is, there is not a group with a beautiful history to see.
Still, the hacker ?MuscleNerd? apparently confirmed the operation of the jailbreak and gave the recommendation that we always give that we wait a while until the thing is properly analyzed and improved.
Another hacker, Stefan Esser (better known as ?i0n1c?), said on Twitter that the TaiG group used a breach in kernel discovered and detailed by him in lectures in the past and that until today has not been corrected by Apple.
Outraged by the situation, Esser has now published a complete document on the subject:
For now, as with PanGu, TaiG’s new tool is only available for Windows.
