Yesterday we commented that Apple once again blocked the execution of Java on OS X due to security holes in version 1.7.0_11-b22 (Java 7 Update 11), released by Oracle in mid-January. Because the company ran and has already released a new update (Java 7 Update 13), which was scheduled to be released on February 19.

According to Oracle, the update includes fixes for several vulnerabilities, and also includes non-security related fixes.
The download can be done via the embedded Java system or through the Java.com website.
