After a long 13 years, HandBrake video converter is no longer beta and reaches version 1.0

The first time we talked about HandBrake here on the site was, believe me, in 2006! From 1 to c, the video converter was mentioned a few times in the due to updates and new features it has gained over the years.

But today is a special day for the app that has one of the most unusual cones in macOS. After 13 years of development, HandBrake has reached version 1.0!

It all started back in 2003, when the optical drive was still shining in its golden days; although today it is only a memory, HandBrake remained relevant due to its capabilities to convert video files with different formats to extensions compatible with Apple devices (iPads, iPhones, iPods and Apple TVs).

But what did he gain to justify the 1.0? Well, the list of news is quite large and includes a series of new tools with updated defaults (for newer devices), several interface improvements, new configurations to keep the application relevant and expand its scope, among many other things the complete list for news you can check here.

There are several converters available per steel, but if you are looking for something powerful and free, HandBrake is definitely your choice; you can download it from the official website of the app.
