Adoption of Macs within IBM caused support calls to plummet

IBM is already the company with the largest adoption of Macs in the world, with more than 90,000 units; announces its first educational app for iOS

In early August, we reported that the adoption of Macs within the IBM was accelerated. Well now a very interesting fact has emerged related to this.

At a session of the JAMF Nation User Conference (JNUC), Fletcher Previn – vice president of Workplace-as-a-Service at IBM – revealed that only 5% of Mac users in the Big Blue make calls to your help desk, against 40% of PC users.

Still according to Previn, IBM is now putting in operation an average of 1,900 new Macs a week. There are now more than 130,000 Apple devices (including Macs and iGadgets) being used within the company, and they need a support team of just 24 professionals.

Too bad it took them to figure it out. ?
