Adobe's Brackets is a new design-focused text editor for the web

It sounds strange to see new software coming out of Adobe. What about a multiplatform. Worse still one with its code all open. And besides, it is really promising and interesting.

Because this Brackets.

Adobe Brackets

Brackets is a new lightweight and modern text editor, focused on excellent web design for those working with HTML, CSS and / or JavaScript. It is a project that had been developed for a long time at Adobe (just over two years), but now its version 1.0, stable.

One of the coolest features of Brackets is Live Preview, which sends changes to the code to the browser in real time allowing the developer to switch between them to check the results of their changes without any loss of time. Another very practical feature, which is still being tested, is Creative Cloud Extract: with it, it is possible to generate a clean / organized CSS file from a PSD without any code knowledge.

Brackets is free and available immediately for download in versions for OS X, Windows and Linux. It already has support for extensions, which is excellent for expanding its possibilities.
