Adobe raises prices for Creative Cloud worldwide, including in Brazil

Adobe Creative Cloud

Bad news for subscribers Creative Cloud. Adobe is increasing its suite prices worldwide, including in Brazil.

The most basic plan (“Photography”, which includes Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop and 20GB of cloud storage), previously cost R $ 35 per month here in Brazil and US $ 10 per month in the United States; now, it has increased to R $ 43 monthly here and to US $ 20 monthly there. The jump in the US was so big (100%) that the plan temporarily disappeared from the Creative Cloud page, PetaPixel.

All other plans also underwent several adjustments (including for schools and universities), as reported by the Tecnoblog. The “All Apps” plan (which includes Adobe’s complete collection of apps, 100GB of cloud storage, Adobe Portfolio, Adobe Fonts and Adobe Spark), for example, went from R $ 175 to R $ 224 monthly.

It is worth noting that all the amounts presented above are for prepayment of an entire year; if the person wants to pay monthly, they are even more expensive. And yes, the readjustments affect both new and old subscribers.

Price adjustments (upwards) are never welcome, of course, but I always thought the price of the “Photography” plan was quite fair for those who really use these apps in a professional way. As for consumers in general and / or people who maybe open a Photoshop of life 1-2 times a month, paying R $ 43 monthly is not very easy when there are excellent alternatives on the market and with interesting prices that you only pay once ( without signature).

As always, nothing better than the market itself to “tell” Adobe whether its decision was right or not.
