Adobe introduces two versions of Photoshop CS3 in March

Adobe’s image editing program will have two new editions: PhotoShop CS3, already available in beta and the new PhotoShop CS3 Extended, designed with the aim of bringing the product to new markets, simplifying processes for professionals in the areas such as architecture, engineering, medicine and science.

The Extended version includes all the tools that PhotoShop CS3 and adds the ability to introduce animated 3D graphics, image measurement and analysis.

Professionals in the areas of multimedia, video have the possibility, with this tool, to view 3D models and edit textures, paint or clone multiple frames of video. The new software it also allows the export of animations to formats such as Quicktime, MPEG-4 and Adobe Flash Video.

Despite introducing new features and characteristics in this product, Adobe says that it does not intend to change its offer for 3D solutions. The objective is to reach other targets giving them the possibility to improve their work through the solution, explains the company in a statement.

Both products will be available from the 27th of March (in Portugal it will be the 29th of the same month), although it is already possible to download Photoshop CS3 from the Adobe Labs website. The retail price of these products has not yet been confirmed by the company.
