Adobe Systems announced the new Creative Suite 3 (CS3) product line, a suite of design aimed at a wide range of users and creative professionals.
The products will be made available through six different packages that cover the specific needs of the segments they are targeting. Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium and Standard Design configurations, Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium and Web Standard, Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium and Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, which brings together 13 new Adobe design and production applications, will be available .
Updates to each of the brand’s editing products will also be available, namely Photoshop CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and After Effects CS3.
It is noteworthy that this suite of products favors integration between applications, underlines the company. Dreamweaver CS3, in addition to being easily integrated with other applications, includes framework Spry for Ajax, while Flash C3 Professional includes options for exporting from Quicktime and has an interface common to the rest of the Creative Suite.
The new versions include several improvements and new features that aim to simplify and integrate applications with each other. The technology flash, increasingly used to give visual and animated effects to pages online, is an integral part of the CS3 suite and results from the acquisition of the manufacturer Macromedia, in 2005.
Most editions of Adobe Creative Suite 3 will be available as applications for Power PC as well as for Intel-based Macs and will support both Windows Vista and XP.
