Administrative Simplification Plan introduces digital transfer of school processes

Basic and secondary school students who intend to change schools will benefit from a digital data transfer process, within the scope of the Administrative Simplification Plan, Jornal de NegĂłcios reports today, anticipating the announcement of a package of 400 measures planned for the next week.

According to the newspaper, annual enrollment is no longer necessary whenever the student intends to remain at the same school, and only a new registration is required when students intend to change schools. In these cases, the transfer of the process will be done digitally.

Under the same Administrative Simplification Plan – which the newspaper guarantees will be presented by José Sócrates next Monday – the possibility will be announced of submitting petitions via the Internet to make tax complaints and consult online the progress of the process.

Likewise, citizens will be able to make and receive electronic communications and notifications, measures that will be possible after a reform of the General Tax Law and the Tax Procedure and Procedure Code, in preparation. In the health area, it is foreseen the possibility of making appointments in hospitals through health centers using the Internet.

The newspaper also advances that also at the level of the Citizen’s Portal, news will be announced that include the centralization in a single point of all job vacancy advertisements and the provision of information on professional training actions.
