Acorn image editor gets major update to version 5, released separately on the Mac App Store

It’s been a few years since we’ve talked about Acorn here on the site, yet another interesting graphical editor option for OS X. Last week, it arrived at version 5.

The update was so significant that it was released on the Mac App Store, that is, users of version 4.x (originally released over two years ago!) Will have to pay for the new one.

Sorry, app not found.

Among the new features are a brand new vector shape processor, improvements to the snapping of objects, improved selections (especially on Retina screens), non-destructive levels and curves, importing PDFs, tool Crop more powerful, new compositing modes, support for Photoshop brushes, metadata editing, among others including, of course, numerous bug fixes.

One verse trial 14 days is available for download (ZIP), to those who want to try the software before hitting the hammer when purchasing. The value of US $ 25 is temporary / promotional, until October.
