Acer announces tablet with Honeycomb in Brazil

Acer today announced the launch of its line of tablets in the national market. The Acer ICONIA TAB A500 officially hits stores on August 23 and was designed to offer entertainment and the convenience of touch screen technology.

“The ICONIA TAB A500 10.1 inch touch screen dipe with high resolution and high color contrast that works with a wide viewing angle allowing for a precise experience from different viewing positions. Equipped with an HDMI port (1080p output), the device can also be used to enjoy Full HD content on a TV or monitor with larger dimensions ”, informed the company.

The Brazilian version will be available with 16GB and 32GB of memory and will cost from R $ 1,499. It also has the Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system; dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor; low power NVIDIA GeForce (ULP) GPU video card with Flash 10.1 support; and cameras – high definition front and 5MP poster – for recording videos, videoconferencing and photos.

The tablet is also equipped with USB connections, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and a pre-installed Acer clear.fi multimedia sharing system, which allows integration with other connected devices in the same home environment, facilitating access, reproduction and sharing of multimedia files. The rechargeable lithium polymer battery (24.1W) guarantees an autonomy of up to 10 hours.
