COLLAB distinguished with the APDC / Siemens Innovation Award

Yesterday ACER launched in Portugal new products that represent its announced focus in the area of ‚Äč‚ÄčDigital Convergence. Some of the digital cameras have been on the market since last month, but the 26-inch and 32-inch LCD televisions won‚Äôt hit stores until June.

The company, which has been gaining an increasing market share in the area of ‚Äč‚Äčcomputers in Europe, defined as a strategy for 2005 a boost to the area of ‚Äč‚ÄčDigital Convergence, which says ¬ęit will be the true engine of diffusion of the Acer brand¬Ľ.

Although already on sale in other European countries, the new devices in the ACER digital range are only now reaching the Portuguese market, complementing its line of products. consumer desktop, namely the Aspire T620 Media Center.

In the area of ‚Äč‚Äčdigital cameras, the company is already selling three models with 5 and 6 megapixel sensors, the CR 5130, CR 6530 and CS 5530, with prices ranging from 149 to 219 euros. In the beginning of June the CR 8530 will also be marketed, with a price of 279 euros.

Also in June, the 26-inch LCD 2671w LCD and 32-inch LCD AT 3201w LCD TVs will be sold at prices of 899 and 1299 euros, respectively. The first model is expected to hit stores in early June, but the second is expected only in the middle of the same month.
