Products linked to electronics lead online sales in the stores of ACEP members. In the first quarter of the year, alongside these products, it was the areas of computers, games / consoles and books and magazines that most captivated the attention of buyers online.

The barometer of the Electronic Commerce Association in Portugal, carried out in partnership with Netsonda, also reveals an increase in the number of Internet users shopping on the websites of ACEP members.

The figures show an increase between 1 and 50 percent of customers, registered by 60 percent of the surveyed sites, and from 50 percent to 25.8 percent of respondents.

The vast majority of respondents (88 percent) also recognize an increase in sales in the first three months of the year, with more than half (65.8 percent) saying that growth was over 50 percent.

The level of investment in the websites analyzed remained constant at 40 percent of the websites analyzed and increased by 51.4 percent. Expectations for the evolution of the business for the rest of the year are optimistic for about half of the respondents.
