Toshiba has reformulated its forecasts for expected revenue for this fiscal year, reducing its estimated turnover by 354 million euros, about 30 percent less than what was expected.

In a statement, the company explains that this fiscal year still lowers its sales forecasts in the HD-DVD segment, whose revenues are only 167 million euros, instead of the 418 million estimated last year.

According to Toshiba, although the estimated results are not as negative as expected, the reduction of its forecast from 1.16 billion euros to 805 million is mainly due to the discontinuation of the HD-DVD business and decreasing prices of NAND memories.
