Sunday day of another tip from our column MM Answers!
The question of the day:
How to create an @icloud email for your Apple ID?
Why create an @icloud?
ICloud allows you to use an Apple ID with an @gmail, @hotmail or any email that has been used as your Apple ID. And the question: why create @ icloud?
Those who use emails from free providers, like the ones above, may see little reason to create another address, but for those who still have a paid email, they tend to benefit greatly from the change.
One more benefit of your new @icloud address: if you already have an @gmail account, for example, but would like to have an email for friends / family only.
Please note that this tip is valid only for those who have not yet used their Apple ID to create an @icloud email and that once created, it will not be possible to change the address (as you can now change your Apple ID from a Hotmail to a Gmail , for example). So think carefully before choosing.
How to create an @icloud email for your Apple ID
In your iGadget:
- Open Settings;
- Tap your name and then “iCloud”;
- Enable the option "Email";
- Tap on "Create";
- Set your desired address with @ icloud;
- Confirm the address.
On your Mac:
- Open System Preferences;
- Click on iCloud;
- Check the option "Mail";
- Tap on "Create";
- Set your desired address with @ icloud;
- Confirm the address.
You can now use your new email @ icloud!
