9Digito app makes life easier for those with an iPhone in SĂŁo Paulo [resultado]

According to Anatel’s determination, as of July 29, all cell phone numbers with DDD 11 will receive the digit 9 ahead. For example, if a number is (11) 8765-4321, it will automatically be (11) 98765-4321. The change will happen for now only in the region of São Paulo.

This is automatic and the user does not need to do anything with his number. But what about the phone book with the old numbers? Will you have to change one by one?

I would have, if I didn’t already have some apps on the App Store that would do the difficult job for you. And one of the best of them is the 9Digit, from Abacomm.

9Digito changes all contacts in your phonebook that have DDD number 11 automatically, without stress, saving you the trouble of having to change one by one.

But what sets it apart from the competition are some important and very practical details. Let’s go to them:

1. Prior backup of contacts

To start, the strong point of the application: it saves an automatic backup of the numbers before making the change. We have received complaints in the past from readers who used portability applications and messed up their entire contact list. With this, if something goes wrong, you can retrieve the calendar as it was before, within the application itself.

2. Feature to standardize phone formats

Even if you don’t live in São Paulo or have a full schedule of numbers from different regions of the country, it has a way to standardize the numbers, so that they are in an international format and can be used on FaceTime or Skype. For example, I had an operator that didn’t automatically put the operator code, so I had to put numbers in the format 0 in the phonebook21 51 8765-4321. When I was going to use these numbers on Skype, it didn’t work. I changed operator, but I kept the calendar with the old format. In a matter of minutes, 9digito changed everyone to +55 (DDD) 9999-9999 format. Fantastic.

If the opposite is the case (you need to add the long distance operator), it does too.

3. You can choose the numbers that will not be affected

If there are numbers that you don’t need to change, you can individualize them so that they don’t change.

Check out the official video with the application procedure:

THE 9Digit can be purchased on the App Store (link) for $ 0.99.
