99 launched on Monday (8) the 99Entrega modality, a service for delivering with private cars through the urban mobility application, available for Android and iPhone (iOS). The measure was announced as a way to mitigate the impacts of the crisis caused by Covid-19 to partner drivers, with the launch, also, of 99Poupa – a service modality that offers a 15% discount on trips during times of less demand.

The delivery of objects performed by the application, however, has some rules: in the modality, with respect to social distance measures, there is no direct contact between the driver and the passenger, who is responsible for placing the object in the trunk of the car . The category is available between 6 am and 11 pm, and drivers are also not allowed to deliver objects over 10 kg or more than R $ 500.

Uber recently launched Flash, a similar delivery service, available in the regions of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and Salvador. The 99Entrega is currently available only for the city of Goiânia, but 99 predicts that the service will be expanded soon to the cities of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte. How to use 99Delivery for delivery of objects
Step 1. Open app 99 and enter the destination address of the object to be sent. The procedure is the same as for an ordinary run;

Step 2. Slide your fingers to the side and make sure to choose the «99Delivery» option;

Step 3. Confirm the race and wait for the driver at the indicated location, with the object in hand. You will be responsible for placing it in the trunk, respecting the social distance measures.
