Last June, 93 million users went through Twitter. The microblogging service increased these numbers by 109 percent in the number of visitors received, compared to the same period last year. At the top of countries with the largest number of fans of the service that allows you to leave messages of 140 characters are Indonesia, Brazil and Venezuela.

In the latter country, President Hugo Chavez arrived on the platform, with the creation of an account in April, which triggered its use at the local level, as reported by comScore, which positions Venezuela as the third country with the largest number of users Twitter in June.

By regions, Latin America has the largest number of followers on the service, with more than 15 million users, 300 percent more than in the same period last year.

The Asia-Pacific zone ranks second, with 25 million users of the platform. In Europe there were 22.5 million Twitter users in June, less than in the United States, where in the same period 24.8 million accessed the service.

When accessing via mobile platforms, the United States is also ahead of Europe. In the United States, 8.3 percent of the accesses recorded to Twitter in June were made from the browser installed on mobile devices, when in Europe only 2.8 percent of accesses were registered through this route.
