9,000 Internet users tried their luck at E-Commerce Week

In the Electronic Commerce Week, an initiative carried out annually by the sector association, 9,223 internet users tried their luck and participated in a competition organized by ACEP to encourage online shopping.

The initiative ran from 16 October to 9 November and the figures released by the association show that, in addition to the 9,223 entries registered in the competition, 3,896 entries were reached.

Another initiative developed in the period asked site visitors to send emails to friends, from the website, to publicize the Week and associated hobbies, in exchange for a bonus prize. 1,964 participants responded to the challenge.

The 2008 edition of the Electronic Commerce Week was the fifth held by the Association of Electronic Commerce in Portugal with the aim of publicizing the Internet sales channel and debating the main issues in the sector.

The first prize of the hobby associated with the week and online shopping in the period, was a trip to Turkey. The second and third prizes are a mobile phone and a digital camera, respectively.
