According to Bloomberg, Google reported today that more than 700,000 apps are available to users of Google Play. Last week, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, had announced a similar brand also on the iTunes Store.
«This means that Google has been following Apple in the number of games, productivity tools and other programs that can be used in portable electronics, including tablets and smartphones,» published editor Tom Giles.
In conjunction with applications, competitiveness between companies is also fierce on devices. Google yesterday announced the arrival of Android 4.2, new versions of the Nexus 7, the brand new Nexus 10 tablet and the successor to the Galaxy Nexus, the Nexus 4.
