Sapo opens laboratory at the University of Aveiro

During the past year, Optimus reused 58 thousand mobile phones. The equipment had been delivered by customers of the operator as part of the take-back program, which provides a discount of 10 euros on the purchase of new equipment with the delivery of the old equipment.

The reused equipment was reconditioned by Fonebak and placed in other markets. It is also the responsibility of this certified company to forward components that are not used in the recovery of equipment.

In the same press release, Optimus explains that over the past year it also «sent all waste electrical and electronic equipment, from cell phones to office equipment, such as computers, monitors, among others, to properly licensed waste operators».
