Spanish police announced the arrest of 40 people in the course of an operation against child pornography on the Internet.
One of the detainees even maintained a website where he made photos and videos available.
Entitled «Ninja», the police action took place in 27 provinces in Spain and identifies another 35 people from distributing child pornography photos and videos over the Web.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of 12 portable computers, with 25,000 photographs and more than 9,000 videos, in searches carried out in 27 Spanish provinces.
The investigation began in February of this year, after a complaint was made to the Spanish Guardia Civil.
