Canon launched in March this year machines that calculate environmentally friendly, developed from recycled materials from photocopiers. The company now notes the success of the initiative and reveals that 25 percent of the segment’s sales are already related to this type of product, available in three models.
The evolution in sales of calculating machines is highlighted in the CSR Europe Sustainable Marketing Guide, a corporate social responsibility organization that groups 70 multinationals.
The materials used in the design of the machines are recyclable in the front and rear cover, as well as the materials used in the packaging and instruction manuals that accompany the equipment. In addition to the replaceable battery, the machines are also powered by solar energy.
