Wire is a new and modern multiplatform communicator, supported by the founder of Skype

Talking, at the end of 2014, of a new multiplatform communicator actually gives me chills. But there is a name with an enviable resume behind the Wire: the of Janus Friis, Danish co-founder of projects like Skype, KaZaA and Joost.

Wire was launched this week as a modern bet on messaging software, already available for iOS, Android, OS X soon also for Windows and in a web version for browsers.

Wire

Its interface is impressive for its beauty and simplicity. It allows users to communicate via text, voice, images, music and video by reproducing, for example, SoundCloud and YouTube links directly in the middle of conversations.

Wire promises high audio quality (HD) in voice calls, the creation of conversation groups, full synchronization between all environments and high security in the exchange of information.

The combination of everything it already offers in version 1.0 and the fact that it is free make Wire a strong candidate to threaten consolidated apps these days, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Viber, Telegram and Skype itself. Your biggest challenge, of course, will be to win over a large mass of active users.
