Some newer MacBooks Air units have gray lines on their screens

Several users of the latest generation MacBooks Air have complained since the beginning of November about small gray lines (or, in some cases, white) both horizontal and at a small angle that compromise the sharpness of their screens, giving a look similar to that of recycled paper.

Although Apple has not officially commented on the problem, some of the users claim that employees of Genius Bars and AppleCare are aware of the flaw and are investigating a solution.

There are two suspected causes: the anti-glare coverage of the displays or some pendency on the GeForce 9400M chip, from NVIDIA (yes, again). We hope that this will be resolved by a firmware update or similar, and soon.
