EFi-X USA is the newest company to challenge Apple's lawyers; starts selling machines capable of running Mac OS X

It seems that she was not content with just her dongle USB: EFi-X USA has just announced that it will sell machines capable of running Mac OS X for users high-end.

The first of the models, the EFi-X Millennium 4, come with an Intel Core 2 Quad processor with overclocked for 3.8GHz, 150GB boot drive at 10,000RPM and a 1TB second at 7,200RPM for general file storage, 4GB of RAM, two DVD burners, an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card in an Antec P180 case and itself dongle above. This, individually, costs $ 200; the entire package will be sold for $ 1,900.

According to the company, the machine "offers 85 to 90% Mac Pro performance for less than half the price". It will be compatible with Mac OS X 10.5, Microsoft Windows XP / Vista and Linux.

I have no doubt that EFi-X will join Apple's aim alongside Psystar and the recent Argentine OpeniMac, although her idea is to allow customers themselves to create their Mac clones, avoiding a judicial compromise with the Cupertino firm. .
