SpaceX Crew Dragon crew test scheduled for May 27

All that remains is the manned test for SpaceX to receive the final endorsement from NASA for the start of commercial operations by Elon Musk's company in transporting people to the International Space Station. And after some postponements, May 27 will be marked by the sending of astronauts to space for the first time since 2011, when the Space Shuttle Program ended.

It is recalled that, in January, SpaceX successfully completed the rescue test of the unmanned aircraft, in order to study potential cases of incident with the Falcon 9 rocket. In addition, several tests were also conducted on the engines without any occurrences of explosion.

Thus, on May 27, astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley will conduct operations aboard Crew Dragon, hitching a Falcon 9 rocket, from Florida, in the United States. The astronauts will be staying at the International Space Station for a while to complete the Demo-2 mission.

To commemorate this feat, NASA is inviting the community of enthusiasts with space issues to manifest themselves on social media, to create rockets at home, to take photos in astronaut suits and other initiatives undertaken in securing isolation at home, about the #LaunchAmerica hastag.
