?Accidentally?, Sony revealed technical details of the new VAIO P series. The specs include a 1.33GHz Intel processor (it would be an Atom dual-core?), with Windows Vista Home Premium or Basic, 8-inch screen with 1600 × 768 pixel resolution, 60GB HD with the option of a 128GB SSD and three colors: Crimson Red, Champagne Gold and Black Silk.
Described by the manufacturer, the ?revolutionary? product is small, but it brings a powerful resolution, something already expected, since it is a Sony. Despite the best way of netbook, I do not believe that the model intends to enter the category competitively. I bet on its positioning as a tempting product for those who want an even smaller laptop, but that does not give up a slightly more robust configuration. Netbooks typically feature resolutions of 1024 × 600 pixels.
It is possible that its official launch will take place at the next Consumer Eletronic Show (CES) 2009, as is the custom of the company. Battery life and price have not yet been reported. In its final configuration, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the option to support 3G should also be included.
This puts an end to the rumors of the past few weeks regarding a new product from Sony.
