Vivaldi, a browser developed by the former CEO of Opera, is officially available for Android on Wednesday (22). Users of mobile phones with the Google system can use the application as an alternative to Chrome focused on content and seeking to facilitate access to its main resources. The smartphone-optimized interface also has security as a striking feature.

The software, which until then had a beta version, can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. It is important to note that the app is not available for iPhone (iOS).

Vivaldi has a native option in a dark way, so that the user adapts to a more comfortable visual interface according to their personal needs. To activate it, just touch the icon with the browser logo, in the upper right corner of the screen, and enter the "Settings". In the tab, look for "Themes", and choose between the "Light" and "Dark" options. In addition, it is possible to configure the activation of the theme for when the power saving option of the cell phone is activated.

2. Take screenshots
The software also has a very functional screen capture tool. Browsing any site, the user can tap on the Vivaldi button and choose the option "Capture page". When accessing any web page, it is possible to make notes using Vivaldi. To create a note, just click the button in the bottom left corner of the screen and then the annotation icon, which is the third. To place a piece of text read in the notes, it is not necessary to copy and paste in the traditional way or select the content, the option "Copy to notes" appears. 4. Customize the browser in the settings
Still in the "Settings" screen, there are options that make navigation more practical, according to the user's preferences. In the "Appearance" and "Sites" divisions, alternatives are available to provide a good experience with the app.
You can show or hide the scroll and status bars, insert shortcuts, and switch to "computer mode" viewing. In the "Accessibility" section, changes in the text scale, forced zoom settings, simplification of pages and the possibility of inserting captions are available.

5. Blocking ad trackers
One of Vivaldi's main objectives is to offer security and privacy to its users. It is possible to access the web pages by cell phone and prevent navigation data from being passed on to third parties for personalizing advertisements. In the "Settings" tab, there is the option "Blocking of Crawler and Advertising". There, the user can choose the desired level of blocking between: "No blocking", "Blocking crawlers" and "Blocking crawlers and advertisements".
