How to put holiday notice in Gmail

Step 1. Access your Gmail account and click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page. In the menu that appears, go to "Settings";

Step 2. Scroll the screen to the end and select the option "Vacation reply enabled". Just below, choose the first day and, if you want, the last day of your vacation;

Step 3. Now, type in the subject and write your vacation reply. If you want, you can send the message only to your contacts. Finally, press "Save changes".

How to put holiday notice in Outlook

Step 1. Access your Outlook account and click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page. Then click on "View all Outlook settings";

Step 2. In the left menu, click on "Automatic replies". On the right, activate the option "Automatic replies enabled" and "Send replies only for a period of time". Just below, choose the first and the last day of your vacation;

Step 3. Now, write your automatic vacation response. If you want, you can send the message only to your contacts. Finally, press "Save".
