How to activate Chrome's ad blocker on your phone | Browsers

Chrome for Android, like the browser version for PCs, won a native ad blocker. The tool, unlike extensions like Adblock, removes only advertisements considered invasive as advertisements that occupy the entire screen or overlap the content of the page. As such, sites that follow Google guidelines are not affected.

How to enable Chrome reading mode for Android

Step 1. Access the Chrome settings. To do this, tap on the menu button, represented by three dots in the upper right corner of the screen, and go to "Settings".

Step 2. On the settings screen, slide to the "Advanced" section and tap "Site settings". Then, tap on "Anncios".

Step 3. Disable the key next to "Ads". You will see the text "Block ads from sites that usually show intrusive ads", indicating that the blocker has been activated.
