According to a statement from the developer, Sim Simi Inc., it is no longer possible to download the program. This was inevitable because the SimSimi app, at least in the last few days, had a significant negative social impact in Brazil, he explains. The manufacturer did not inform, however, if the app continues to run on devices downloaded before the suspension date. In the tests carried out by TechTudo, it was possible to use the service without any difficulty on cell phones that already had the software installed.

The decision was made after the manufacturer noticed a growing dissatisfaction with the program in recent days. It seems that some Brazilian users have been teaching SimSimi malicious responses recently. Most of the content of these threat responses, such as murder or kidnapping, of children or their families, the statement said. According to the developers, this is an unclear case and, therefore, they decided to remove the app from the country, until it is possible to again have control over this type of abuse.
SimSimi recently found itself involved in a controversy in Brazil and worldwide. The friendly look of the service ended up attracting children and teenagers, even though it is a recommended application for people over 16 years old. The program also went unnoticed by many parents and guardians, even though it was specified in the app stores as likely to contain content about violence, sexual content and drugs.

Due to the learning system, the result presented may be inappropriate for children. Threats, words and conversations of a sexual nature have become constant. In addition, phrases using names of people associated with bad adjectives could easily be shared and used for bullying.
Testimonials on social networks and in the comments of app stores showed the indignation of many responsible. In one of them, viralized on Facebook, a mother claims that the character threatened her family with death, which would have terrified the child.
