Earth Day wins Google's commemorative Doodle | Internet

Earth Day will be celebrated next Sunday (22), and Google has published a Doodle in honor of the date. It features an animated video telling the story of Dr. Jane Goodall, a famous British anthropologist, who has devoted much of his life to studies on social learning, reasoning and the culture of wild chimpanzees. The video also features a statement by Jane about raising awareness of the population to care for the Earth.

The intention of the date is to create a worldwide awareness of the problems that plague our planet. From pollution, to the scarcity of some natural resources, and other environmental concerns. Earth Day was created by US Senator Gaylord Nelson on April 22, 1970.
