Google Family Link, a parental control application, allows parents to discover the location of their children in real time using the cell phone's GPS. The resource is useful to know if the child is safe in a known place. It works on both iPhone (iOS) and Android.

Google Family Link: How to monitor app usage on your child's phone
Step 1. Open Google Family Link and, next to your child's name, tap "View". Then, slide the screen to "Location" and go to "Configure".

Step 2. Now, tap "Enable". An alert message informs you that your child's location may take a few moments to update. Press "OK" and wait.

Step 3. When available, you will see the location on the map, tap on it to enlarge. In "Add bookmark", you can save the known places that your child goes to. The buttons on the right serve to start the GPS navigation from where you are to the child's location and to update the location.
