Having multiple Word documents and PowerPoint presentations open will become a possibility on the iPad. For now, the new functionality is only available to participants of the Microsoft Office Insider program, which allows early access to resources and news from the technological giant.
The announcement appeared in an Office Insider blog post, in which Microsoft team member Sammy Chiu explains that the resource can be accessed in different ways. But for that, the iPad will have to rely on a version of its new operating system (OS), the iPadOS 13, which the company launched in September 2019.
One of the features of the OS allows precisely having several application windows open, aiming to facilitate multitasking. Highlight also for an update on the keyboard, which became available for the first time in full-size and new features of Apple Pencil.
In order to take advantage of this feature, one of the options is to touch, hold and drag the document from the list of recent files. Then you have to open the file in the application for the iPad screen and place it on one side.
