The video editor for Google Photos for Android gained a new look in the last update of the app, equaling the version for iPhone (iOS). Now, the tool makes it easy to choose and view the viewing time for each film or photo added. The application also allows you to change the order in which files appear and hide snippets, among other features. See how to create and edit videos through Google Photos in the step by step below.

How to master photo search on Google Photos
Step 1. Open Google Photos and click on the "Assistant" tab. Then, tap on the "Movie" option.

Step 2. Go to "Select photos and videos" and choose the content you want to use in the production. Once the selection is complete, tap "Create".

Step 3. Wait for the tool to upload, which may take a few minutes, depending on the number and size of the files. Right after, you can check out the new features of the Google Photos video editor. Each selected photo or video corresponds to one of the lines below. By dragging the bar to the right or to the left, the user changes the display time for each of them on the video to be made.

Step 4. Note that each media has a cone formed by three spheres. By clicking on it, a menu with options will be displayed. The first are to move the position file, which represents the display order in the movie.

Step 5. It is also possible to move the videos by pressing the file for a few seconds and dragging it where you prefer. Returning to the menu previously accessed, the option "Show all video" does not appear if the file is a photo. This is because, by default, the assistant cuts the inserted films.

Step 6. Now when choosing "Hide cut parts", add from the timeline the parts of the film that will be left out of the edition, making the user's work easier. In "Disable sound", the user removes only the audio from this video and is not the soundtrack of the entire video and photo montage.

Step 7. It is possible to include more photos and videos in the montage in two ways: in the option "Insert clip" in the options menu or by touching "Add photos and videos" at the bottom of the screen.

Step 8. It is possible to duplicate files during production with the "Duplicate" option. Just select it and the same photo or video appears twice or more on the video, as you can see in the image on the right.

Step 9. The "Remove" option deletes the selected photo or video. You can also change the soundtrack by tapping the icon on the musical note.

Step 10. You can choose an audio file available on your smartphone by tapping My Music. Select the desired option and click on the check to confirm.

Step 11. Google Photos also provides standardized soundtracks using the option "Music-theme". To see all the existing categories, drag the options to the side. Just choose a song and press the "check" icon, as in the previous step.

Step 12. By clicking on "No Music", the entire video will not have a soundtrack. If you have already made all the desired edits, tap "Save".

Step 13. To view the saved video, simply access Google Photos in the "albums" tab. Then go to the "Videos" folder.
