WhatsApp started releasing the account data request tool. Launched under the pressure of the new data protection law in the European Union, the function allows the user to know what personal information the application has stored on its servers. The feature arrives first beta version 2.18.128 of the messenger for Android.
In the tutorial below, see how to request the WhatsApp report with your account data, and have more control over your privacy. The stable versions of the messenger, both for the Google system and for the iPhone (iOS), should receive the tool within the next few weeks.

Step 1. Open WhatsApp Beta and tap on the main menu, represented by three dots. Then enter "Settings".

Step 2. Touch "Account". Then, select "Request account data".

Step 3. Add a simple touch to the "Request report" button. WhatsApp will indicate the time when the document with your data will be ready, which can take up to three days.

Step 4. When the report is completed, the messenger will send a notification. Touch it to open the "Request account data" screen and then go to "Download report". Wait a few seconds for the download to complete. Touch "Export report".

Step 5. In the confirmation box that will open, press "Export". Choose the service by which you want to send the data report in this example, Gmail and complete the operation on the destination application. The file is sent in ".zip" format.
