WhatsApp Beta for Android has gained a function to prevent group members from editing the name, photo and description of the conversation. The feature is disabled by default and, after being configured, restricts changes to chat administrators.

Step 1. Open the group whose changes you want to restrict and tap on the name of the conversation at the top of the screen. In the group data, tap "Group settings".

Step 2. Tap "Edit group data". Check the "Admins only" option and press "OK". You must be a group administrator to have access to this option.
