Rumors about Apple working on a new high definition audio format (HD) are not new, but from yesterday to today the site MACBlog brought the topic up again talking about the Apple Music.
According to Japanese vehicle sources, Apple would have plans to start offering streaming at at 96kHz / 24-bit next year a superior quality of CDs (44kHz / 16-bit). They also note that, on iOS 9, iGadgets Recent devices are now compatible with Lightning headphones at up to 192kHz / 24-bit.
If this were to happen, Apple could start fighting head-on not only with Spotify for example, but also with TIDAL.
A few weeks ago, there was also a rumor that Apple was considering abandoning the conventional 3.5mm headphone jack on the next iPhone.
