Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO, could use the CES 2010 opening stage today to announce a partnership with Hewlett-Packard in the manufacture of a tablet. The launch would possibly come days / weeks before iSlate, which everyone expects to be revealed by Apple in late January.
According to NYTimes, the unnamed product would combine multi-touch and electronic reader functions. Manufactured by HP, the device could hit the market by the middle of this year.
No one even knows if, if true, this launch has something to do with the Courier concept, released by the Gizmodo at the end of September. What we already know that both Apple and Microsoft have invested a lot in technologies and inventions related to this type of product.
