Apple announces opening of the first “iOS App Development Center” in Europe

Apple today announced the creation of the first ?IOS App Development Center? (iOS App Development Center) in Europe, located at a partner institution in the city of Naples (Italy).

The company's proposal "to give students practical skills and training in developing iOS apps for the world's most innovative and vibrant app ecosystem". It will give full support to teachers, offering a specialized curriculum of preparation for developers interested in entering this world.

"In Europe there are some of the most creative developers in the world and we are happy to help the next generation of entrepreneurs in Italy get the skills they need to succeed," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "The phenomenal success of the App Store is one of the driving forces behind more than 1.4 million jobs that Apple has created in Europe and presents unlimited opportunities for people of all ages and businesses of all sizes, across the continent."

Apple said that it hopes to take the same program to other countries, and it is curious that we have had a very similar and successful initiative here in Brazil for some time: the so-called Brazilian Education Program for iOS Development, or BEPiD.

The choice of Italy is at least curious; Apple recently paid a fine of R $ 1.3 billion per liter, due to an investigation of tax fraud.
