New leaks over the next Fitbit Charge 4 appeared on the internet with information about the smart bracelet. The Twitter profile Roland Quandt (@rquandt), already known for leaking information from smart devices, published a video on the platform with references about the wearable intended for the Dutch market. It is not yet known when Fitbit Charge 4 can be launched due to quarantine and stores closed because of COVID-19.
According to the information leaked on the video, the new version of the smartband should arrive with Integrated GPS, in addition to the traditional functions of recording physical activity data and monitoring the user's heart rate. The smart bracelet will connect with the smartphone to pair data from social networks.
In addition, it was also revealed that Fitbit Charge 4 will feature the Fitbit Pay, wireless payment service using NFC technology. Another reference in the video points to support for the application Spotify, although it has yet to be confirmed whether the smartband will need the smartphone to run the application.
According to information from international technology websites, Fitbit Charge 4 is expected to support 7 days of battery life. With GPS, the battery life is up to 5 hours with GPS active. The device's screen will be monochromatic OLED, with IPX8 certification – which guarantees resistance up to 50 meters deep under water.
The new Fibit Charge 4 is expected to arrive in Europe for the recommended price of 149, with a "Special Edition" also selling for 169.
