Many may not know or remember, but Apple still had until recently a Windows version of QuickTime Player. No more.
Following in Safari's footsteps, Apple's media player will no longer be updated in the Windows world. And Trend Micro even recommends that users uninstall it immediately, since the current version (its latest) has at least two critical security vulnerabilities already registered by the US-CERT (United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team).
Apple has a support article that explains exactly how to uninstall QuickTime on Windows, something that users of versions 8 and 10 of the Microsoft operating system have probably done a long time ago (since QuickTime was never updated with support for them).
The Windows versions of iTunes and the iCloud Control Panel remain standing.
